One year ago today INVESTIZMO was launched, and what a ride it has been. Looking over some of our early posts, one has to wonder who could have predicted the outcome of  the past 365 days. We had some correct calls, some, not so much.

Highlights:

• Silly, Bubbly, then Insane Oil Prices

Unfortunately, markets took a bit (read: huge) of a dive in the summer of 2008.  Priorities changed and posting stopped. Boo on us.

We promise to make year 2 a lot better!

Today is the launch of Investizmo, your investment commentary and community source. We plan on providing you interesting and meaningful insight into the world of economics, markets & finance. It is our belief that most of what is written about finance these days is either:

1. Boring
2. Constrained due to business relationships
3. Boring
4. Illogical
5. Expensive
6. Just plain wrong.

To start Investizmo will be written by iGuru, our editor and webmaster, who is currently employed as a trader with one of North America’s largest investment banks.
